Globe magazine reports  Jessica Alba has explained  when she appeared on several episodes of '90210' at the age of 16, she was treated like anything but a star. "Aaron Spelling made me sign this contract that we weren't allowed to look at any of the actors, refer to them by their characters' names or their names," she said. "So I was like, 'How am I supposed to do a scene with somebody I can't even look at?'"

"He's just taking a break," a friend of the actor tells Star magazine, "and exploring his feelings for Jessica."

We told you last week that newly single Mark Wahlberg had taken a shine to actress Jessica Alba. Well, the couple's new relationship has heated up considerably in the Florida sun. They spent New Year's Eve in Miami, starting with a private dinner at the Delano Hotel, where Lenny Kravitz, Adrien Brody, Michelle Rodriguez, Jamie Foxx and Rufus Wainwright also celebrated. "Mark and Jessica came together. They were very publicly all over each other," a snickering spy told us. Wahlberg, 32, recently broke off his engagement to Rhea Durham, with whom he has a 4-month-old daughter, Ella Rae. Alba is 22. The stars later watched the ball drop at Ian Schrager's Shore Club, where Kravitz was spotted getting cozy with "Blue Crush" star Rodriguez. "He ran over to her. The whole night, he made a point to call her over. She would go and flirt," said our spy. The heat must have been too much for her; the spy said she "jumped in the pool naked," and a pretty blond girl made sure Rodriguez stayed afloat. Meanwhile, Brody was focused on a sandy-haired beauty. "They were sitting together, but he wouldn't let photographers take any pictures. Nobody knew who she was," said the spy.

Right after after Mark Wahlberg broke off his engagement to fiancee Rhea Durham, the actor was spotted "getting cozy" with Jessica Alba in Miami, a spy tells The New York Daily News. The pair were having dinner on Tuesday night at the Astor Hotel with several friends, including Adrien Brody. "They were all sitting at the same table, sharing a bucket of Champagne. But Jessica was chatting up Mark. They were definitely together," said the spy. Dinner didn't seem to appease their appetite. Alba and Wahlberg later "got in a limo and left together," said the source.
